Swimming Is Fun

The kids have had so much fun swimming this year. They are all little fish.
Joshua loves sticking his face in the water and blowing bubbles.
Allie loves just laying on her back and floating around the pool. She does swim a little but mostly she just likes basking in the sun.
Emily loves the water!
She loves wearing her goggles and looking under the water.
And she loves having Paige throw her in the air so she can do flips and dives.
Tyler bought me a waterproof camera for Christmas last year and my sisters and I have been having fun playing with it.
So much fun!!

The Josh Man Turns 1

My little boy just turned 1!
Josh's sweet dump truck cake.
Has it really be a year since this day when I was getting ready to go to the hospital to have him?
1 year since this little guy joined our family? I guess it has!
Tyler's parents are in Russia for 6 months or so, so we got the web cam going so they could watch Josh open the present from them. How cool is that?
Trucks and dinos! Wahoo.

We had family over that night for a little party.
Where he opened more gifts!
We sang Happy Birthday!
And munched some tasty cake.
Josh always scrunches his nose up when he thinks something is funny.
I love this little guy. Even when he wipes frosting all over my fast. He is so smart and has the cutest personality. He is always happy. He absolutely loves his older sisters. He gives the greatest hugs. He can say quite a few words but won't say them if/when you ask him too. He has said: mom, dad, dog, book, done, uh-oh, duck, wah-wah (water), tuck-tuck (when I tuck him into bed), hat, hi, bye-bye, ball.  He is definitely all boy! He loves playing in the dirt, he loves dogs, balls and trucks. He climbs on everything.

Joshua we love you and are so glad that you are part of our family. We bring such a special spirit into our home. Happy Birthday!

4th of July Festivities

Like last year, we started our 4th of July festivities, that actually happened on the 3rd of July, up in Huntsville.
We started the day off with breakfast in the park
The kids waited patiently for the parade to start.
The girls had fun waving to the people in the floats and tractors and running out to get candy. They made out like bandits and had a huge bag full of candy.
After the parade the kids went and played at the park for a while. Emily mastered the rings and loved that she could do them all by herself.
Later that afternoon we went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Spackmans.
After swimming we fired up the grilled and enjoyed some tasty hamburgers and hot dogs. Apparently we weren't feeding Joshua enough so he dumped the bag of chips out on the patio and helped himself.

We finished the night off watching the fireworks from Ryan and Heidi's house.
