Preschool Graduation

It is hard to believe that my little girl is 5 and just graduated from preschool. Emily absolutely loves learning. She loved every minute of preschool. She is definitely ready for kindergarten.

Emily got all E's on her report card. She is excellent at reading, can count to 100+, can count by 10's and loves learning new things.
Emily's preschool class.
It was pretty windy the day of graduation. Emily's graduation cap blew off as soon as she walked outside. She held on to her cap as tight as possible the whole rest of the ceremony. Her cap looked more like a 3 cornered hat instead of a graduation cap.
Emily getting her dipolma.
The kids put on a little program for everyone.
Emily and her teacher, Mrs. Green. Mrs. Green is an amazing teacher, Emily learned so much in preschool.

Attack of the Little Brother

Joshua is 10.5 months old today. He has been walking for about a week now. He is still a little unsteady at times but is quickly getting the hang of it. He gets the biggest grin on his face as he is toddling around. It is so stinkin' cute.

He also gets a huge smile on his face when he attacks his sisters.
Allie often starts falling asleep while we are eating dinner so we tell her to go and lay down. She barely makes it out of the kitchen before she falls asleep. Josh LOVES to go over to her while she is sleeping and pull her hair, climb over her or body slam her. Most of the time Allie sleeps right through it.
Look at that evil little grin. How could he possibly be doing anything mischievous with a smile like that??

Camping and The Runt Turns 3

As a family we decided that we wanted to go camping a lot this summer. So in April we started planning camping trips. We planned our first trip to be just a short overnighter up to North Fork May 7-8. The weather the first part of May has been laden with rain and snow showers. We weren’t sure if we should still go or if it would be too cold but we decided we would tuff it out.

It actually was quite nice. Not hot by any means, it was barely warm, but there were no complaints about it being too cold.
Friday we went for a short little exploration hike with the kids.
They really enjoyed throwing rocks and snow into the little pond that we found.
I tried snapping a quick little picture of me and the kiddos by the pond and this is the only one I got to take. Joshua peed right through his diaper all over me so we promptly headed back to camp.
Tyler and Josh going for a little walk.
My brother, Ty, found this deer skull on the hike that the kids thought was pretty cool.
Tyler and Ty thought it would look pretty cool as a hood ornament on Keely's car.
Saturday was Allie's birthday so we started the festivities up camping.

When we got home from camping we hurried and got cleaned up and got ready for family to come over and celebrate Allie's birthday.
Allie wanted a Strawberry Shortcake cake for her birthday. This is what she came up with.
Emily made Allie a cute little card for her birthday. I love that Emily and Allie are such good friends.
It is hard to believe that Allie is already 3. At the same time it is hard to believe that she is ONLY 3. She is such a smart little thing. She loves learning, she is getting pretty good at reading now, loves writing her name and other letters and loves counting to 100. She loves princess and playing with Emily.

Runt we love you. We are so glad that you are part of our family. You are such a funny, happy kid and your smile is contagious. LOVE YOU!

Park City Bonspiel

This last weekend Tyler felt like doing some sevice and so he went and hung out at the old folks home. Well, at least that is what it seemed like he was doing. Tyler participated in his first bonspiel. A bonspiel is another name for a curling tournament. Tyler's team consists of 3 much older guys and then him. One of their guys couldn't make it so his son took his place. This made it so Tyler didn't have a 30+ year gap between him and the next youngest player on his team.

This bonspiel was a three day event hosted by the Park City curling team.

Tyler and his team plus a team they played against. Look at all those young gents. Okay not everyone who was at the bonspiel belonged on a geriatric ward, just most of them.
The girls like to go to and watch Tyler's curling matches. Well, in all honesty, they could care less about watching him they really just wait for the match to be done so they can go out on the ice and have Tyler push them around on the stones.
Joshua loved crawling around on the lobby floor with Daddy's broom.

Tyler's team did pretty well. They finished 2nd in the B bracket. Which means they lost their very 1st match, which put them in the B bracket, and then they didn't lose again until the last match. Nice job Ty!
