One, Two, I Can Tie My Shoe!

Emily and Allie got new shoes the other day. I have always bought them velcro shoes simply because they can put them on themselves and it is SO much easier than having to tie their shoes for them.

This time though I decided that Emily is probably old enough that I should teach her how to tie her own shoes. I figured it would take some time but eventually she would get the hang of it.

When we got home she was so excited and wanted to learn how to tie her shoes right away. So I sat down with her and showed her how to do it. She tried a couple of time sbut just said she couldn't tell where to put the laces. So I tied her shoes up for her and told her it would take some practice but she would get the hang of it.

About 5 minutes later she came downstairs and told me she could tie her shoes. Sure enough! She had it down.

You can see how hard she is concentrating.

All tied! I can't believe how fast she picked up on that. If only she could clean her room that fast!!

Josh 6 months

Josh is now 6 months. He is getting so big and it is fun watching him learn new things. I just took him to the doctor today for his well child checkup. Everything looks good.

6 month stats:
Weight: 16.07 lbs -21%
Length 27.95 in- 90%

Josh is such a happy little guy and has such a cute little personality. He LOVES his sisters. He lights up everytime they come around him. He loves splashing in the tub and getting everyone and everything around him soaking wet. He does not like to hold still when he is getting his diaper changed and thinks it is the funniest thing. He loves to give kisses.

Jazz Games

We love going down to Salt Lake and watch the Jazz games. We love taking the kids the the games and have taken them to several games this season. The girls know all the little cheers they do at the game and they yell so loud (mostly just really high) for the Jazz. Josh does pretty good at the games too. If it gets too loud he covers his ears with his arms, it's pretty cute.

Joshua giving Daddy kisses at the game.

I love this picture the Josh and Ty. They just look so happy, if it had a caption I think it would say "Hey thanks for taking me to the game Dad. I had a great time! I love you. "

The Princess Doctor

Emily and Allie love to dress up as princesses and they love to pretend like they are doctors. So of course it is natural to combine the two. Often times the princess will become ill by eating a poisened apple or by other means and so they will have to go and see the doctor.

A thorough exam is perfomed. The doctor takes the princess' blood pressure, listens to her heart, checks her temperature, looks inside her ears and also gives shots.

Oh, and we can't forget to check the princess' eyes.

Looks like this princess got medical attention just in time and the doctor was able to save her. Nice work doctor.

I love watching these two play together and use their imaginations. They are so funny. They are growing up so fast.
