1st Time Fishing This Year

For FHE we decided to go fishing together at the city pond. The girls really enjoy going.
Joshua enjoyed it too. Josh LOVED playing in the dirt. LOVED putting the dirt in his mouth. DIDN'T LOVE the taste of the dirt, but that didn't stop him from doing it again.
Allie thought the pond was running a little low on dirt so she did her best to solve that problem.
Allie helped Daddy reel in our catch.
We had such a great time together. I love spending time with my family. It is so much fun watching our kids learn and grow.

Spring Has Sprung

The weather has been nice lately so we have taken advantage of it and started getting the garden and flower beds ready for planting. Emily and Allie really like digging for worms. However, Emily won't touch them unless she has her gloves on.
Joshua loves being outside. When he wasn't pulling out the grass and eating it he was trying to get to the dirt and eat it.
What kid doesn't love flying kites on windy days? Allie loved seeing how high she could get her kite.
Emily enjoyed flying her little miniature kite. It looked more like a jelly fish dancing a jig in the wind than a kite.
We have really enjoyed playing outside. We are looking forward to the many great adventures we will have this spring/summer!

Birthday Girl

Emily turned 5 on Sunday. I can't believe that it has been that long since she joined our family.  Seriously, time has flown.
What's it going to be?
We had some family come over after church to celebrate with us.
Emily waiting with great anticipation as Dad gets her last present, her bike, out of hiding. She was super excited.
Yes, I know the cake is leaning, it is suppose to be. Emily saw this cake online and asked me to make it for her birthday. I guess it is a Mad Hatter/Alice in Wonderland cake but my kids have no clue who/what that is so we called it a Dr. Seuss cake.
Emily you are such a happy girl and always have a smile on your face. You absolutely love teasing your dad and beg to be tickled. You are so smart. You love to read. Emily you are quite the little artist also. You love coloring and drawing and are very good at it. You are so excited to go to kindergarten in the fall. Em’s you are such a good example to Allie and Josh. You and Allie are such good friends and play so well together. You love making Josh laugh. Dad and I love you so much and are glad that you are part of our family. Happy 5th Birthday!

Easter 2010

Emily and Allie love coloring Easter eggs. They are always amazed when they pull their eggs out of the dye.
Joshua didn't get to participate in the egg dying festivities he was busy smashing crackers in his high chair.
Our masterpieces.
After egg coloring a wrestling match ensued. All 3 of the kiddos got in on the fun and attacked dad.

EASTER 2010
Easter morning checking out their goodies.
Joshua checking out his basket.
It was pretty cold on Easter so we had a very quick egg hunt outside.
Allie running to find the next egg.
Joshua found his egg.
I tried to get a quick picture of all 3 of them but it was so cold and they weren't so excited about it.
After church we had dinner and another Easter egg hunt at Great Grandma Spackman's house with all the cousins.
Joshua was so excited about his 2 eggs.

We had a great day together as a family and reflecting upon our Savior and His great sacrifice for us.
