Joshua and his PJs

Josh found his Toy Story jammers in the dirty clothes a few minutes ago and told Tyler he wanted to put them on. Ty said "No. Leave them there, Mom needs to wash them." Well Josh just came up to me with soaking wet PJs in his hands and told me that he wanted to wear his jammies and that he washed them. Smart boy! But now I have a flood in my bathroom that I have to go and clean up. :)

Maya's 4 month checkup; Lots of visits to radiology

I took Maya in to the doctor for her 4 month check up on Wednesday. She is healthy and doing well the doctor was just concerned about a couple of things. First thing is her hips. It looks as though she might have hip displasia, meaning the ball of her hip isn't sitting in the socket quite right. So right after her appointment we went down to radiology and she had X-rays done on her hips. X-rays on babies aren't always definitive because their bones aren't hard enough to show everything on an x-ray but Mayas on Wednesday showed them enough to make them be concerned enough to have us go down to Shriners Children's hospital for ultra sounds on her hips. That appointment is scheduled for next Friday.
The 2nd thing the doctor was concerned about is a small bump on Maya's head that I pointed out. It isn't over a suture line and it seems perfectly round. So we had to take her in for a CT scan on her head this morning. Poor little Bean has had her fair share of radiation this week.

Waiting for her CT scan.

I just got a call back from the doctor saying that Maya's CT scan was clean. WAHOO! (Enter sigh of relief here).

Maya's stats:
Weight: 13.6 lbs
Length: 25.28 inches

Maya found her toes

The past couple of days Maya has really taken an interest in her toes.  She is always grabbing on to them and trying to eat them.
YUMMY!
I love watching little ones as they learn new and figure out new things.

Em's Loses Another Tooth

Em's lost another tooth. This time she was at school when she lost it. She thought it was super cool because she got to go to the office and get a little treasure box to put it in.

New Digs from Japan

Tyler brought the kiddos these cool robes home from his trip to Japan.

Tubing

After our campout at Tyler's parents house we woke up early and headed out to Willard Bay to go boating.
It was actually quite chilly. Allie and Aria were brave enough to get in the water though. Emily and Josh just wanted to put their feet in.
Maya and Grandma enjoying the ride.
Josh thought he should be the one to drive.
The kids all went out on the fun tube Grandma and Grandpa have.
They liked it until they crashed and all ended up in the water.
Geri and I had a blast on the tube. We were jumping up and down, trying to catch air and just being crazy.
Emily was brave and tried skiing by herself. Grandma helped her get ready.
She did pretty good. She was able to stay up for about 5 seconds. We were so proud of her for trying!

S'more Please

Since it is a holiday weekend Tyler's parents invited us over to sleep in the backyard and roast marshmallows with them and such.

Tyler has been in Japan for the last week +. He went there to help clean up a little and help rebuild from the tsunami damage. He got home about 5 minutes before we left to his parents house.

Joshua looks like the karate kid with this rad head band that Tyler brought back from Japan..
We roasted marshmallows over the grill.
We love s'mores! and we love camping and grandma and grandpa's house!

Maya Can Roll Over

Maya has started rolling from her tummy to her back. Because I usually take my blog entries and make a book out of them at the end of the year I can't put a video of Maya rolling over so here is a few pictures as she makes her way from tummy to back.
And you will notice in the background that Joshua is working on is headstand skills.
