Emily starts 1st grade

Every parent asks the question "Where has time gone?" and I am no different. Can my little girl really be in 1st grade?

She is so excited to start 1st grade since according to her "Kindergarten was way too easy".

Joshua is such a funny kid. He is usually sporting his Woody cowboy hat but today he switched it up a bit.

We had some peas with our dinner tonight. Tyler had to get up from the table for a second and when he sat back down Emily whispered in my ear and started to laugh. Tyler asked what was so funny. I told him Emily put a pea on his chair and he just sat on it. Then Emily pipes up and says "dad pea'd his pants". She thought she was so funny. And I have to admit, I think she was.

We spent the weekend up in Eden and enjoyed some time at the pool.

Really? I don't know if there is anything better to wake up to than a happy little baby with the biggest smile. Love seeing this little face every morning.

Maya 3 Months

This little girl is 3 months old already. She is such a cute little stink and such a good girl!

Allie Starts Preschool 2011

Allie has been looking forward to this day for sooo long! First day of big kid preschool- as she calls it. Meaning the one that mom and the neighbor moms aren't in charge of.

Allie is going to the same preschool that Emily went to when she was 4. This year her teacher is doing an advanced class where they focus more on reading. Which we felt was a good thing for Allie since she is already reading on a 2nd grade level and we thought that that would be a little better for her than just learning letters. We don't want her to be too bored. Smart little stink!

This year we are just hoping for Allie to develop better social skills and to bridge the gap between her emotional and intellectual development.
