Emily's Last Soccer Games

Emily was so fun to watch this year in soccer. She was on a coed team and surprised me with how much she improved this season. She went from being super timid and scared to accidentally bump into someone to taking the ball away from the boys and out sprinting them down the field. She did absolutely amazing. The best player on her team by the end of the year. (True fact, not just a proud momma saying that).  Emily was always one of the smallest players out there playing. It was fun to watch her battle with the boys who were a head or more taller than her.

Emily had several attempts at the goal in her 2nd to last game but was never able to score.
Determined to score in her last game. She assisted on their first goal- stole the ball away from the other team, dribbled the ball all the way down field and passed it to her teammate so he could shoot and score.

Finally scored a goal of her own at the end of the game giving her team the win!!! Yes, I was one of those crazy parents screaming like I won the lottery. :)
So excited she scored a goal.
High fives at the end of the game, end of the season.
Proud Daddy and his little girl
So happy about that game. She had such a fun time playing soccer this season. Nice job, Ems. You did a great job this season.

Allie's Last Soccer Game

Allie just played her last soccer game of the season. This was the first season of soccer she has played. She said she had a fun time playing. At the beginning of the season she pretty much stared off into space and ignored what was going on around her. By the end of the season she would run after the ball and kick it every once in a while. She doesn't love running after the ball, she really loves playing goalie. She is a pretty good goalie too.
Going after the ball!
Diving on the ball to stop the other team from scoring.
 What a cute little goalie!
 Another stop.
Great season Orange Butterflies.
Good game!

Brigham City Temple Open House

We had the wonderful opportunity to take our family to the Brigham City Temple open house. It so fun being able to take my kids inside the temple, have them be able to see what it looks like inside, and explain to them more about what we do at the temple.

When we had finished walking through the temple Joshua turned to Tyler and said "Dad, that was awesome." That is pretty big coming from a 3 year old. I'm pretty sure he could sense he was somewhere special. The whole time we were walking through he was so reverent and had his arms folded the whole time. That is coming from the kid who can't sit still for 5 minutes at church.
I tried to get a picture of all 4 of my kids but Maya wanted nothing to do with it and Joshua wanted to be a goofball.
 Joshua still being a goofball.
Told all these kids not to play in the water. They thought no one was looking.
Our happy, eternal family! So thankful for temples and the blessings we have because of them. I am also thankful to have so many temples close to us.

First Day of School 2012

Emily is growing up so quickly. She is starting 2nd grade.
Allie has been waiting for this day for years. First day of Kindergarten!
Ems in her new class. We are building a new house just right by the school. Our house won't be finished until around Christmas but we decided to put the kids in the new school at now instead of waiting.
My shy little Emily with her new friend Riley. Emily and Riley were on the same T-ball team in the spring. Riley's family is building a house right next door to us. I think these two are going to be good friends.
 Allie in her kindergarten class.
We went on a scavenger hunt around her classroom and then did a little art project.
Joshua on the first day of preschool. Since we have some extra time between when I am done at the gym and when we have to pick Allie up from Kindergarten Josh and I are having preschool out on the grass at the elementary. He is so excited. Woody and Buzz came to wish him luck on his first day of school.
 Practicing writing his name.
Should be a fun school year for all 3 of these kids. I am excited to watch them grow and learn and make new friends.

Labor Day Fun!

We had so much fun this Labor Day weekend. Lagoon on Saturday then on Monday Tyler's parents planned a fun day for everyone. We started the day off with a run around the park. Well, around the playground. We did several laps don't worry.

Then we went back to Tyler's parents house for a tasty breakfast. Huge cinnamon rolls and some fresh fruit.
Holy moly, that thing is massive. It was enough for our whole family. 6 people!!
Our next adventure was at the splash pad. Joshua just wanted to eat the Ring Pops that Grandma brought.
 Emily and Allie played frisbee.
Not sure why having a cold bucket of water on your head is fun?
Daddy taking Maya through some sprinklers. She doesn't like it so much.
Crazy haired Bean being brave and starting to venture out on her own.
 Granny with Maya and Piper.
 Allie running around having fun.
 "Come on Dad!"
Going on her own.
So proud that she did it!
Thanks for planning such a fun day Grandma and Grandpa. Now time to get ready for a new school year starting tomorrow! We had such a fun summer and are sad to bid it farewell but are looking forward to new adventures.
