Good Morning Sunshine

I love waking up to this happy little face every morning. Maya is always so happy when she wakes up. She will just sit in her bed and play with her toys or look at books. She always has a smile on her face when I come in and get her.

Tyler's Birthday

My amazing husband turned a year older today. He's been gone for tradeshows and is usually gone for his birthday but he was home tonight so we could celebrate.
 Happy birthday, handsome!!
Maya enjoyed eating some of Daddy's pie and was proudly still wearing some on her face as she walked around the house holding on to Grandpa.
Most of the night consisted of the kids wanting to be used as weights for Tyler to workout with. Emily being bench pressed.
Allie the kettlebell being tossed in the air.
The kids made Tyler a coupon book.
Tyler redeemed on of his coupons right away and received a back scratch from 3 of this kids.

Ty, I love you so much. I am so glad I get to spend forever with you. Glad we were able to celebrate your special day together. You are my best friend. Happy Birthday.

Stitches

These pictures show a big open cash and blood so if you don't like to see things like that then I suggest you stop reading now.

Rewinding to back to Jan 10 approximately 6:25b pm. We had just finished eating dinner. Allie was dancing and spinning around in the kitchen when she slipped and hit her head on the corner of a chair. Poor little thing was screaming bloody murder. I thought maybe she just had a bloody nose but was surprised when I saw the puddle of blood on the floor and a huge gash just through her eyebrow.

And yes, I am that mom that takes pictures of my kids injuries. But in my defense, Tyler was getting the other kids in the car and I was holding pressure on Allies wound. I just took the gauze off for a second to snap this picture.
Amazingly enough this is our first trip to an Instacare.
Getting ready for the stitches
This is where she absolutely freaked out. Poor thing was not going to get stitched up without putting up a fight. We tried giving her a sucker, taking a break for a minute, nothing was working so I had to hold her arms and lay across her chest while someone else held her head and the doctor stitched as fast as she possibly could.
 Thankfully she survived!
Finally enjoying the sucker we gave her earlier and looking pretty tough with her pressure dressing.
Of course we had to get a Slurpee after such a traumatic experience.
Allie back to her good ole self the next day.
Proud of her black eye.
 I love this smile!!
Today I took out her stitches.
She was a little nervous about it but after a hug and reassuring her that it wasn't going to hurt she let me take them out.
Taking out the last one.
Happy little thing!! So glad we survived that whole ordeal. What a little trooper.

High 5

Maya started giving High 5's today. It is so cute. Just tell her to give you a high 5 and she will repeatedly give you 5.
I love watching her learn new things.

First Pigtails

I was able to put pigtails in Maya's hair for the first time. She looked so cute.
She even had fun seeing her shadow with pigtails. She couldn't quite figure it all out though. She kept touching her shadow and gave it a kiss too. It was so fun to watch.

Once There Was a Snowman

I know this picture is totally whited out but I think it looks cool anyway.
Allie helped Dad shovel the snow.
Emily and Allie starting to make a snowman.
The kids all helping push the snowball.
Josh got pushed right up on top of the snowball.
The kids all thought it was the funniest thing that Josh went up on top of the snowball so they all had to have a turn doing it.
Their finished product. So glad that Tyler is home during the day so that he can go out and share in these moments with our kids. They all had such a fun time.

Maya 8 months

My little girl turned 8 months old yesterday. I can't believe she is that old already. She is getting so big. She is such a quiet, happy little thing. She makes me smile. I can't get enough of this big toothless grin.
